With the start of the WNBA season and the NBA Playoffs just around the corner, it’s the perfect moment for more content in NBA 2K23 – and that’s exactly what you’ll get in the next patch for 2K’s basketball game. You won’t even have to wait for long.

The NBA 2K23 Season 6 update launches on April 7, 2023, at 8am PT / 11am ET / 4pm BST / 5pm CEST.

Luka Dončić, NBA star and occasional Overwatch 2 enjoyer, and Sue Bird, a WNBA veteran with a career stretching two decades behind her, are the athletes headlining this season.

MyCAREER offers new rewards you can earn, such as a jetpack, a medieval armor set, a glider, and a GOAT mascot – lots of swag to enhance your character in The City and on The GOAT Boat.

MyPLAYER will be expanded in Season 6 with the Core Badge Pattern Package 2, which is a reward for reaching level 39. Here’s what’s included in the bundle:

  • 2 Finishing, 1 Shooting, 1 Defense
  • 2 Shooting, 1 Finishing, 1 Defense
  • 2 Playmaking, 1 Finishing, 1 Shooting
  • 2 Defense, 1 Shooting, 1 Playmaking

MyTEAM features the return of Hero cards in Season 6. Shaquille O’Neal will be your level 1 reward claimable in the MyTEAM Season Menu. The card will be Ruby-rated at first, but once you’ve completed its Evolution requirements it’ll morph into a Diamond-rated juggernaut. The level 40 reward of the season is a different kind of beast, a 99 OVR Dark Matter-rated Hakeem Olajuwon.

Level 2 provides you with a Ruby Sue Bird Coach Card, which is only an appetizer for the other WNBA Coach Card additions coming in Season 6: Over 25 new Coach Cards from the women’s league will be added.

The W Online offers a whole wave of additional rewards as well, while 2K Beats once more adds a few fresh songs to the soundtrack:

  • Premo Rice – Right Wriss, Pt. 2
  • Trippie Redd & Lil B – SWAG LIKE OHIO, PT. 2
  • King Louie – Go Get It
  • ChapD & John G – Iconic (Carhartt)
  • Angel Mccoughtry – Legend
  • Jovanie – Stepback
