These 10 are the best of the best in NBA 2K24

The NBA 2K24 ratings are starting to roll out, as 2K teased the 10 best players of 2024’s sports game ahead of its launch in September. This year’s best players remain the usual familiar faces we’ve seen for the past few iterations, but the numbers shuffle a few of the top-rated players from NBA 2K23 around. 

Fan-favorites such as LeBron James drop down a notch compared to the previous year, while some, including Nikola Jokic, get an extra bump up once again. The full list of ratings is still to come, but for now, get a look at the top 10 players in NBA 2K24.

Devin Booker - 94 OVR

First up is Devin Booker, shooting guard for the Phoenix Suns. 2K gave Booker a slight bump, up to 94 from his previous 93 in NBA 2K23.

Jimmy Butler - 95 OVR

Butler also gets a little boost in his overall ranking, though he's still just shy of landing in the top 10. 2024 sees him land at number 11 with a 95 overall rating.

Jayson Tatum - 95 OVR

Rounding out the top 10 is Celtics power forward Jayson Tatum, whose 95 overall rating is the same as it is in NBA 2K23.

Luka Doncic - 95 OVR

Dallas Mavericks guard and noted Overwatch 2 enthusiast Luka Doncic dropped from his 97 peak back to 95, where he was in NBA 2K22.

Stephen Curry - 96 OVR

Golden State Warriors' star Stephen Curry holds steady with his 96 overall rating, where he's stayed comfortably since NBA 2K21

Kevin Durant - 96 OVR

The Phoenix Suns have a second player in 2024's top 12 rankings: Kevin Durant. Durant remains at 96 overall, the same as he's been for the past four years.

Joel Embiid - 96 OVR

Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers got a slight downgrade this year, dropping to 96 from his previous 97 overall.

LeBron James - 96 OVR

The downgrade sweep came for LeBron James as well. The Lakers power forward dropped slightly, from 97 in 2023 to 96 in 2024.

Giannis Antetokounmpo - 96 OVR

Continuing the string of 96 overall ratings is Giannis Antetokounmpo, who also saw a one point decrease compared to his rating in NBA 2K23.

Nikola Jokic - 98 OVR

NBA 2K24's top-rated player is Nikola Jokic, who received another boost after NBA 2K23's upgrade and now sits at 98 overall.

Like NBA 2K23, you can expect these to change as the season progresses, so if you're miffed that a favorite is too low, they probably won't be for long.
