Octopath Traveler 2 secondary job locations: how to unlock job licenses
Contents
Secondary jobs are the key to unlocking the deep strategy that Octopath Traveler 2’s system can bring, but you’ll need to track them down. All eight of the base jobs can be unlocked and assigned to any character as a secondary job, giving them access to all of the regular skills and support skills it offers, letting you craft a varied and useful team.
Things are a little different in this sequel though, as you can unlock multiple licenses, allowing more than one character to have each job. We’ll explain where to find each job and how to get their additional licenses.

Octopath Traveler 2: secondary job guild locations
In the last game, you’d find these jobs in shrines, but this time you need to look for guilds instead. If you’re in an area containing a guild, you’ll be able to see a shield icon on your minimap, so make sure you always check.
Simply talking to the guild master will earn you the first license, unlocking the corresponding secondary job, but you’ll need to complete tasks to get more.
Hunter
The Hunter’s Guild is in the Western Tropu’hopu Traverse in Toto’haha. This is a Level 32 area.
Thief
The Thief’s Guild is unique, as it can only be found at night. It’s in Clockbank in the Brightlands area, you must head to the western side of the city and navigate down an alley into a hidden room.
Scholar
The Scholar’s Guild is in the Winterlands’ Western Winterbloom Snows, a Level 34 area.
Apothecary
You’ll find the Apothecary’s Guild in the town of Conning Creek in the Harborlands.
Merchant
The Merchant’s Guild is set up in the Wildlands, specifically in the Western Crackridge Wilds. It’s a Level 34 area.
Warrior
The Warrior’s Guild is in the town of Sai in the Hinoeuma area.
Dancer
The Dancer’s Guild is in the town of Wellgrove in the Leaflands area.
Cleric
The Cleric’s Guild is in Borderfall in the Crestlands area. It’s a Level 33 area, and you may not immediately spot the shield on your minimap, as it is covered by the icon for an Altar. The Altar is in the same place as the guild and will unlock Temenos’ first EX ability.
