Palworld: how to hatch eggs

How to hatch eggs in Palworld

As you explore the wilderness of Palworld you’re sure to find eggs littering the landscape if you look hard enough. Eggs of all different types can be found, and unlike Pokémon’s eggs, the size and elemental type of the eggs give you some indication of what might be inside of them. If you’re early on in the game though, you won’t be able to hatch them just yet.

We’ll explain what you need to hatch eggs in Palworld, as well as how you can make some eggs hatch faster.

To hatch an egg you’ll need to craft an Egg Incubator. It can be unlocked with Ancient Technology Points when you reach Level 7 and can be crafted with the following ingredients:

  • 10 Paldium Fragment
  • 5 Cloth
  • 30 Stone
  • 2 Ancient Civilization Parts

Check out our guides on how to get Ancient Technology Points in Palworld, and how to get Ancient Civilization Parts in Palworld to find these rare items.

Once you’ve crafted it place it anywhere and drop an egg inside. Depending on the size of the egg it could take anywhere from ten minutes to two hours, but you can decrease the time it takes by giving it optimal conditions. Under the timer, it will say whether or not the egg looks comfortable.

If it says the egg “Seems very comfortable” then it will hatch twice as fast. If it instead says something like “It seems a little cold”, then you can increase its comfort level – and thus how fast it hatches – by putting a heater or a campfire next to the incubator.

Once it’s ready, interact with the incubator and the hatched Pal will go straight into your Palbox at Level 1.
