Palworld is a strange-looking game that has generated a lot of hype recently. You may have seen it described as “Pokémon with guns”, and that description is entirely accurate. With 100 creatures to discover and a whole host of survival/crafting goodness to dive into, it’s no surprise that plenty of people want to dive into it as soon as possible – especially with the recent announcement that it will be available on Xbox & PC Game Pass as well as Steam.

We’ll explain the release time for Palworld and what it means in your time zone.

Palworld releases on Friday, January 19, 2024 at midnight PT. Here’s what that means for your time zone:

  • 12am PT
  • 3am ET
  • 8am GMT
  • 9am CST
  • 1:30pm IST
  • 5pm JST

Palworld can be pre-loaded, but only on Xbox consoles, and you have to use the mobile app to do it. As of January 12, you can search for Palworld on the Xbox mobile app and select the “Download to Console” button on the game’s page if your console and app are connected. This will let you download the game early, although there is no guarantee that you won’t have to download further updates on launch day.
