It's time for another Festival of Colors / Niantic

Spotlight Hour: Eevee

  • When? Tuesday, March 7, 2023, 6 to 7pm local time

Spotlight Hours increase the spawn rate of one particular Pokémon for an hour each Tuesday evening, which makes it easier for players to farm the species’ Candy. Eevee, the most adorable cat Pokémon, will be the focus of this upcoming event. You'll be able to encounter the Gen 1 creature in its Shiny form with some luck.

You also gain double Candy for transferring Pokémon during this timeframe. That may be useful if you're still looking to do some Eeveelutions.

Festival of Colors: Mega Medicham and Bruxish

  • When? Wednesday, March 8, 2023, 10am local time

It's time for another annual edition of the Festival of Colors. This iteration features the debuts of Mega Medicham and Bruxish as well as a variety of bonuses and challenges. You can find all the details under the linked event guide in this paragraph.

Raid Hour: Ho-Oh

  • When? Wednesday, March 8, 2023, 6 to 7pm local time

Raid Hours guarantee the current boss of 5-Star Raids to show up at every Gym for their duration, enabling players to form large groups and defeat several bosses in quick succession. This is one of the most reliable ways of farming Candy and Candy XL for Legendary Pokémon.

Ho-Oh is a powerful Pokémon for anyone looking to compete in Master League. Naturally, it's also necessary to complete your Pokédex, so if you're new to the game and haven't yet had the opportunity to catch this majestic bird, then it's about time.

GO Battle League: Great League and Color Cup

  • When? Wednesday, March 8, 2023, 1pm PT / 4pm ET / 9pm GMT / 10pm CET

GO Battle League changes disciplines every Wednesday during the Rising Heroes season. Great League gets to stick around for another week, but Fantasy Cup says 'sayonara' and will be replaced by another thematic event, Color Cup.

This format features the same 1,500 competition points (CP) limit as Great League, but only Pokémon of the Fire-, Water-, Grass-, and Electric-types may participate.

Elite Raids

  • When? Saturday, March 11, 2023, 11am, 2pm, and 5pm local time

Regidrago and Regileki join Pokémon Go during the ongoing season through Elite Raids – one of those problematic issues the community and Niantic have been feuding over. The first wave of these battles will happen on this coming Satuday.
