Pokémon Go Tour 2024: Sinnoh Global has arrived worldwide, allowing players to catch a large amount of Pokémon from Gen 4’s home region, get monsters with special attacks, and partake in a brand-new narrative involving Team Go Rocket and its boss, Giovanni.

Some of the content you’ll have access to during this event will depend on the decisions you’ve made during the Go Tour 2024: Road to Sinnoh Special Research. Choosing either Diamond or Pearl will slightly alter some of the rewards you can expect, just as the experience was different back in the mainline games depending on the edition you played.

Here are all Pokémon Go Tour 2024: Global Research tasks.

Go Tour 2024: Global – all Special Research tasks

You’ll be able to complete this Special Research whenever you want once you’ve claimed it by logging into the game during Go Tour 2024: Global. It will begin by asking you to choose one of the three starter Pokémon of the Sinnoh region – Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup. Similar to the choice between Diamond and Pearl, this will slightly change the rewards ahead of you.

Choose a Starter

  • Choose Turtwig
  • Choose Chimchar
  • Choose Piplup

This choice decides which Pokémon you’ll encounter as well as which type of Candy you’ll receive in Step 1. It’ll also influence Giovanni’s Pokémon line-up.
