Pokemon Home: Every Pokemon transferable to Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
A new update for Pokémon Home is starting to roll out to players across the world, and adds the ability to transfer Pokémon in and out of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Because of this, there are a bunch of Pokémon that can now be transferred in that aren’t normally accessible in Scarlet and Violet.
This includes a large amount of legendary Pokémon, most new Pokémon and forms from Pokémon Legends: Arceus, some Pokémon and forms currently exclusive to Pokémon Go, and starters that previously featured in 7-star Tera raids. For the most part, you won’t need a paid subscription to Pokémon Home to access these new Pokémon, but it does help for transferring more Pokémon at once, and lets you transfer from Go and Bank.
Another note before we get to the list is that any Pokémon on this list from generation 7 or earlier can be transferred from Bank, if you own the games and have Bank already downloaded on your 3DS. We haven’t listed that as a potential source for these Pokémon, but it’s an option if you want to check it out.
With that out of the way, here’s every single Pokémon able to be transferred to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet through Pokémon Home, including which game you can get them from.

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: Transfer-only moves
Some moves in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet cannot be learned naturally in the game, but can be obtained – and in some cases transferred over to other Pokémon using Mirror Herbs – through transferred Pokémon. Unfortunately, Pokémon that had certain moves in Pokémon Sword and Shield through TMs won’t be able to use those moves in Scarlet and Violet if they don’t learn them naturally in those games. This means moves like Scald still aren’t accessible to any Pokémon except Volcanion, which is a bit of a bummer.
That said, here’s an non-exhaustive list of moves that will be accessible to Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet that aren’t currently available, through breeding or the use of the Mirror Herb.
- Growlithe - Raging Fury
- Qwilfish - Barb Barrage
- Stantler - Psyshield Bash
- Note: this also allows Stantler to evolve in Scarlet and Violet, which is not otherwise possible
- Rellor - Cosmic Power
