The main currency of The Indigo Disk is BP. This is earned by doing tasks like picking items off the ground or defeating Pokémon in auto battles, but you only get a very small amount each time. You will need 12,000 BP if you want to catch all of the starter Pokémon and a further 4600 BP to invite all the special coaches to the school to battle and trade with.

For every 11 BP quests you complete, you will also be given the chance to catch a legendary Pokémon, which is what most people are playing the DLC for. If you want to find out how to finish these quests quickly, then read on.

Indigo Disk: BP farming with friends

The easiest way to collect BP quickly is to make a Union Circle with at least one other friend. Four people in multiplayer works best, but if you have at least one partner, it will go by significantly more quickly. You can create a Union Circle, by going to the Poké Portal from the main menu and selecting Create a Union Circle. Make sure everyone has a strong internet connection if you want to do this.

When in a Union Circle, all of your BP Quests combine, meaning that you can have up to 12 available at any one time. Sometimes, there will be two or more of the same quest at once, and you will only need to do the action once to complete them all. Further, everyone’s actions work towards the goals, so you must pick up fewer items or attack fewer Pokémon.

For every 10 quests, you will be rewarded with a special red quest for extra BP, and for every three red quests, you will get a more difficult gold one. These can be worth many hundreds of BP and are worth moving towards. Overall, Union Circles are by far the best method for farming BP and will save you significant time.

Indigo Disk: BP farming on optional trainers

In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and the Indigo Disk, all trainer fights are optional. However, there are big rewards if you choose to fight these. Not only will you get the usual money rewards, but for every five trainers you fight, you will get a significant amount of BP as a reward.

Once you have battled five trainers in one biome, you can fly to the Rest Stop in that biome to claim your reward. A person here will give you 100 BP in increasing increments for every five trainers you defeat. For example, you will get 100 BP for the first five trainers, and then 200 BP on top of this for the next five. Because of this, it’s easy to see how this stacks up. This will only earn you BP, though, and will not count towards the legendary quest line.
