With the new Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC, The Indigo Disk, more Hisuian Pokémon than ever before have been added into the main series. One of these is Overqwil which was previously exclusive to Pokémon Legends: Arceus. As you need to use Strong Style Barb Barrage in order to evolve it in Arceus, people are wondering how you do it in The Indigo Disk. Read on to find out how.

If you want Overqwil, you will first need to catch yourself a Hisuian Qwilfish. These can only be caught in The Blueberry Academy Terarium, inside the Polar Biome. There is no specific spawn location, you can find them pretty much wherever there is water.

While Qwilfish can be caught in other locations in Scarlet and Violet, you specifically need Hisuian Qwilfish, which you can tell by its dark purple coloring.

The process is actually easier than it is in Legends: Arceus. Put your Hisuian Qwilfish in your party, then go to the summary screen. In there, go to the move selection and choose to remember moves. Hisuian Qwilfish learns Barb Barrage at level 28, so you will need to be at least this level first.

Once you have taught your Hisuian Qwilfish Barb Barrage, all you need to do is level it up. You can either use Experience Candy to do this, or fight other Pokémon. Remember that Auto Battling does not allow your Pokémon to evolve, so make sure that you finish off its experience in a standard battle.
