One of the most surprising and exciting features teased in the trailers for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: The Indigo Disk is the ability to unlock free flight for Koraidon or Miraidon. This mode is not just restricted to the DLC area either, as once it’s unlocked you can fly all around the main Paldea map as well.

We’ll tell you how you can unlock flight for your chosen legendary Pokémon to get around quicker and easier than ever before.

Once unlocked, you can fly anywhere in Paldea, or the two DLC areas in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet / Nintendo

First, you need to head to Amarys when they’re available and complete their trial for the first time. This trial is essentially a flying tutorial, where you have to complete a course within the time limit while flying through rings that give you more time.

Once you’ve done that, you have to carry on with the main story of the DLC until it’s fully completed. Once it’s all done you can return to Classroom 3-2 of Blueberry Academy and talk to Amarys again to unlock flying.

To initiate flying, you just need to press the left stick in on your controller/joy cons while gliding.
