Redfall weapons tier list

Redfall lets you have a big and varied arsenal, but not every weapon is worth using

Redfall characters are unbelievably strong, able to carry around up to 40 weapons in their backpack at once. Just as well, as there are seven different types of weapons in the game, all of which have different uses for taking on the vampire swarm. You have your standard guns, sure, but there are a few more unique inventions out there that you’ll want to try your hand at.

We’ve put together this Redfall weapons tier list, ranking every type of weapon in the game from most to least useful.

Pistol

Sometimes, size matters, and it’s no surprise that handguns are the least useful. Like in any looter shooter, they’re a very useful tool when you first start out, but you’ll quickly get your hands on much better gear, making them completely useless.

Flare gun

Flare guns can be quite useful, but only in specific scenarios. Setting a vampire on fire is a solid way to deal with them, but you’ll still have to survive their onslaught as they slowly burn to death. If there’s a nearby flammable object that can take out many at once, then busting out the flare gun might be the right choice, but otherwise, you’re better off using something more efficient.

Sniper Rifle

Snipers are pretty powerful weapons, but again, only under certain conditions. As you’d expect, these are best used from a distance, as if you can land a hit, you’ll usually one-shot any human without being detected. A headshot can even cut the health of some bosses in half. Still, once you get into a fight, it’s not going to be very useful.

UV beam

A UV gun is always useful to have in your back pocket, as it can quickly take out vampires if you get the drop on them. Focus a UV beam on a vampire for long enough and it will petrify them, allowing you to one-shot them. It’s very powerful, but the erratic way in which vampires move can often make it difficult to focus the beam once they’re attacking you. Plus, it has no effect on humans.

Assault Rifle

While assault rifles aren’t always the optimal gun to use, they’re always a viable option. You can get more damage out of a specialized arsenal, but using an assault rifle will usually do the job no matter what – it’s always a solid choice.

Shotgun

Most vampires in Redfall use melee attacks as their primary method of dealing damage, and a shotgun is the best way to turn that into an advantage. With lots of pellets and high close-range damage, a shotgun will tear through most vampires quite quickly, you just need to be careful of their erratic movements, which can make aiming challenging at times.

Stake Launcher

When it comes to dealing with vampires, we all know a stake through the heart is how you kill them. The stake launcher does huge damage to vampires, and the great thing about sharpened pieces of wood and metal is that they can hurt humans too. The main challenge with this gun is it’s limited ammo, but you should always have it in your loadout to bust out when a situation looks dire.
