The recent Resident Evil games all have one thing in common: silly collectible toys that you must shoot to pieces. They were everything in the Resident Evil 2 remake, and now in the Resident Evil 4 remake, there is one Clockwork Castellan for each chapter.

You won’t even be altered to their existence until Chapter 2, so it’s entirely possible that you’ll miss one before you’ve even thought about their existence. But we’ve done the hard work for you, and in this guide, you’ll find every Clockwork Castellan location in Resident Evil 4’s remake, in the order of the chapters they appear in.

Shooting all of the Clockwork Castellans nets you the Revolution Wind-up achievement/trophy, so it’s well worth doing as you play through the Resident Evil 4 remake.

Chapter 1, Lakeside Settlement – RE4 Remake

Just past the Farm area, you’ll find the first Clockwork Castellan in the Lakeside Settlement. 

Check the building where Ganados are throwing dynamite from. The Castellan is in the rafters of the broken roof.

Chapter 2, near Abandoned Factory – RE4 Remake

After you get the Hexagonal Emblem in Chapter 2, you’ll find this Clockwork Castellan in a hut in the same place where you’ll encounter the chainsaw man.

Just look in the corner of the hut.

Chapter 3, Merchant by dock – RE4 Remake

From the merchant near the first firing range, jump down to the dock, and head into the dead end corner on the right side.

It’s sitting on top of some boxes at the end.

Chapter 4, Forest Altar – RE4 Remake

When you’re exploring the Lake in Chapter 4, head to the Northern dock, back at the Lakeside Settlement from the first Castellan. Go through the Insignia Key gate at the back, and up to the Forest Altar.

You can find this Castellan behind the fence at the back.

Chapter 5, Mayor’s House Attic – RE4 Remake

When you return to the village after rescuing Ashley, you can return to the Mayor’s House and get into his attic. 

You’ll find one of the Castellans up here.

Chapter 6, Checkpoint – RE4 Remake

Chapter 6 is mainly made up of combat hallways. Just before you get to the Checkpoint where you fight the twin chainsaw wielding Bella Sisters, you’ll pass a hut on your left, and a quarry with a single bonfire above it on your right. 

Zoom in on the bonfire, and you can see a Castellan in front of it.

Chapter 7, between Treasury and Dungeon – RE4 Remake

This Castellan is on a shelf in the storeroom between the Dungeon, where you fight the first Garrador, and the Treasury.

Check the upper shelves of the furniture in here to find it.

Chapter 8, Castle Battlements – RE4 Remake

You can get on top of the Castle Battlements in the Chapter 8, but you need to shoot weights through gates to open the path.

If you can, then this Castellan is on top of the first part of the battlements, in a corner around the back.

Chapter 9, Courtyard – RE4 Remake

This Castellan is located in the Northwestern corner of the Courtyard, near a First Aid Spray. 

Look down in the right corner, beside the box that blocks your path.

Chapter 10, Depths – RE4 Remake

This one is in the Depths, near where you fight Verdugo.

On your left will be the merchant, and just further down the hall, upside down in one of the pipes to your right, you’ll find the Castellan.

Chapter 11, Stopover – RE4 Remake

Between your intense minecart thrill rides you’ll find the Stopover area. 

The Castellan is in the rafters of the single building here.

Chapter 12, Clock Tower – RE4 Remake

The last chapter of the Castle section, you’ll find this Castellan under the stairs.

It’s just sitting on a box in the corner on the lowest level.

Chapter 13, between Wharf and Lab – RE4 Remake

After you make it up from the Wharf, but just before you enter the Lab area, you can find this Castellan under a truck.

You’ll need the right positioning to see it.

Chapter 14, Campsite – RE4 Remake

After the Amber Storeroom where Ashley gets taken, there’s a room above the Campsite.

The Castellan is sitting on lockers in here.

Chapter 15, Specimen Storage – RE4 Remake

This Castellan is in a side room just before Specimen Storage. Note: if you go through the door that requires the wheel lever after the first Regenerador, you will not be able to return for this Castellan.

It’s just hiding up on the rafters in the side room.

Chapter 16, Underground Passage – RE4 Remake

This one is in the Underground Passage you must run through after beating Saddler.

The Castellan is in the room that the single Ganado bursts out of. It’s on some equipment on the right side of the room.
