Contents
Once you finally get out of the mines and away from the insects down below, you’ll emerge in the Ballroom in Resident Evil 4 remake Chapter 12, and there will be two new requests for you to undertake: the tricky Jewel Thief request, and this one, The Disgrace of the Salazar Family.
This request involves you showing Ramon Salazar the respect he deserves, and it gives us an interesting glimpse into the merchant’s own opinions on what is happening in Castle Salazar. For everything you need to complete this request, just read through our guide below.

Disgrace of the Salazar Family location – RE4 Remake
When you pick up this request, you will be given a picture along with it, which shows you where you need to be to complete it, but it’s a little mysterious.
In case you can’t remember, the portrait of Ramon Salazar that you’re looking for is in the Throne Room. You were only in this room briefly before getting plunged into the Depths, but it’s through the Antechamber where you fought two Garrador at once.
Once in the Throne Room, check the rear left wall to find Salazar’s portrait.
Disgrace of the Salazar Family solution – RE4 Remake
Now it’s a matter of disgracing it. Shooting it, stabbing it, and throwing grenades won’t work. However, there are two fairly overt hints in the room.
The first is the chickens. There are two chickens in here. The second is the treasure in this room: the Gold Chicken Egg. Do you see where we’re going with this?
If you can be patient – very patient – wait for one of the chickens to lay an egg, equip it, and then throw it at the portrait of Ramon Salazar to complete the request. Or, you can throw the Gold Chicken Egg – but this is also worth 9k pesetas, or can be eaten for a nice health refill. It depends on what you want more.
