Resident Evil 4 Remake: All Rhinoceros Beetle locations
There’s one treasure in Resident Evil 4 Remake that isn’t listed on any of the in-game maps, and you might not even be aware that it exists until you check the Model Shop and see a single entry missing. Like many players, you’re missing the Rhinoceros Beetle.
There are three Rhinoceros Beetles in the game, one for each of the Village, Castle, and Island areas. It’s a unique treasure as it’s worth 10,000 pesetas if you want to sell it at the merchant, but using it as a consumable will actually increase your max health, making it pretty valuable for S+ runs. For all of the Rhinoceros Beetle locations in RE4 Remake, just read through our guide below.

All Rhinoceros Beetle locations - RE4 Remake
Village Rhinoceros Beetle location – RE4 Remake
The Village Rhinoceros Beetle is located in the Lakeside Settlement. You can first enter this area in Chapter 1, but the beetle won’t appear until the night section as you navigate the Lake in Chapter 4.
The Lakeside Settlement is on the North side of the Lake, and it is found on a tree close to where you enter this area in Chapter 1.
Castle Rhinoceros Beetle location – RE4 Remake
The Castle Rhinoceros Beetle is first available in Chapter 8. Just after Ashley attacks you, you will start the chapter next to a fountain with fish in it. This is in the same area as the Jewel Thief request item.
You can find the Rhino Beetle on the back wall, on the left side.
Island Rhinoceros Beetle location – RE4 Remake
This is the trickiest beetle to find. This Rhino Beetle can only be found after the Krauser fight begins during Chapter 14.
After you jump down and the first cutscene begins, where Krauser will shoot at you with a TMP and a Bow, you can actually backtrack to find the Rhinoceros Beetle on the wall you jumped down from.
