All Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Lightsaber Stances, ranked
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is out now, and one of the biggest new expansions in this sequel to 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the combat system, and the various stances you can assume when wielding your lightsaber.
There are five different stances to take on in Jedi: Survivor, but you’ll only be able to use two at once in battle before swapping them out at a Meditation Point. You can change your Skills Points out whenever you want, meaning you can experiment by putting all of your points into a single stance and seeing what it’s like maxed-out, if you want.
That’s the best method for making your own decision on which lightsaber stance is best in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, but in this guide we’re going to give you our verdict. These are all of the stances in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor ranked from best to worst.
Blaster Lightsaber Stance – Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
This is the most useful stance in the game. Make no mistake, you shouldn’t be using this stance constantly – although you absolutely can – be most stances make it difficult to hit distant foes. The Blaster Stance’s ability to shoot down distant or weak foes while you focus on the big-bad is incredibly useful and gratifying. This should absolutely be one of your main stances.
Dual Wield Lightsaber Stance – Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
You can also Dual Wield a lightsaber in each hand for this stance, and this has decent speed while being overall better than most stances in terms of power. This make it a great counterpart to a Single or Blaster Lightsaber Stance.
Double-Bladed Lightsaber Stance – Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
With this stance you’ll look just like Darth Maul. The Double-Bladed Stance allows for swift multi-hit attacks which also have a surprisingly good range. Not only does it look incredibly cool, it’s also great for taking out single foes or a group, as long as they’re at a reasonably close range.
Single Lightsaber Stance – Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
The classic, the original, the old trusty. As mentioned before, you can play through the entire game with the Single Lightsaber Stance, but it just won’t feel that fresh or new. But it is nice and familiar so Fallen Order players can feel secure with this to start with if they jump in at a higher difficulty.
Crossguard Lightsaber Stance – Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
The Crossguard Stance can deal massive amounts of damage, but the swings and wind ups are also huge. If you’re dealing with a crowd of basic foes, like weak droids and Stormtroopers, then the big swings can take out a small crowd quite easily. When you’re up against something more challenging, those long swing animations are going to hamper your ability to dodge and parry on time. Maybe worth keeping as a secondary, but not as your primary Lightsaber Stance.
