Akila City is where the space cowboys live in Starfield, so you’ll want to check it out. It’s a great location for stocking up on supplies, especially weapons and ammunition, as there are multiple dedicated stores around the city. Not to mention two decent Starfield player homes that you can pick up at reasonable prices.

Still, without a quest marker, it can be hard to remember exactly where it is in the massive galaxy of Starfield, so we’ll give you direction right to it, as well as a few points of interest you should check out while you’re in town.

If you need more help navigating the stars, check out our guides for New Atlantis’ location in Starfield, and Neon’s location in Starfield.

Akila City is on the planet of Akila in the Cheyenne system. It’s a little removed from most other civilized systems, but if you go directly northeast of Alpha Centauri on the star chart, you’ll find it.

The Rock is the main feature of the city, as it’s the base of the Freestar Rangers, and where you start that questline. Completing it gets you a free Starfield ship by the way, so you should definitely check it out.

It’s also one of the best places to stock up on ammo, with a weapons shop on the main street and one in the back streets that also sells a decent stock of weaponry. If that isn’t enough, it also has a great general store where you can pick up med packs, Starfield ship parts, and Starfield Digipicks.

Aside from that, wander around for long enough and you’re sure to stumble into side quests and mini adventures as you overhear dialogue or stumbled headfirst into a new story. Check out our Starfield walkthrough if you want to know everything there is to find.
