If you’ve played a Bethesda game on PC before, then you’ve probably used console commands at some point. These act a little bit like a debug menu, but of course, you can use them to cheat to your heart’s content as well if you want. We’ll run you through how to use console commands in Starfield and all the commands we know of.

How to use console commands in Starfield

Bethesda

To open the console command menu, you need to press the “~” key on a US keyboard or the “@” key on a European keyboard. This will open the menu where you can type in any command you want, as well as select elements or the world in front of you to apply the commands to.

Note that some commands will disable achievements for that save file, so be careful if that’s something you care about.

disable	Removes selected element from the world
enable	Respawns selected element back into the world
help (item name)	Gives you the ID for the selected item
kill	Kills selected NPC (works on spaceships)
killall	Kills all nearby NPCs (including spaceships)
player.additem (Item ID) #	Gives you # number of selected item
player.additem 0000000f #	Gives you # number of Credits
player.additem 0000000a #	Gives you # number of Digipicks

player.setav speedmult #	Increases your movement speed to #

sexchange	Changes your sex and resets you to the default apperance
tai	Toggles AI on/off; will cause all NPCs to freeze
tcai	Toggles combat AI on/off; will make all NPCs passive
tcl	Toggles collisions on/off; allows you to move through walls
tdetect	Toggles detection on/off; NPCs will be unable to detect you when sneaking
tfc	Toggles free cam on/off
tgm	Toggles God Mode on/off; you will be invinsible, with infinite stamina and carry weight
tm	Toggles UI on/off
tmm 1	Reveals map markers for every location on a planet's surface
