While your ship’s storage is a fine place to keep all of your stuff in Starfield, it’d be much better organized and on display if you had your own space to keep it in. Thankful, there are eight homes that you can buy in Starfield that all have something different to offer. Whether you plan to create a life of luxury for yourself, or simply need somewhere to put your stuff, the available houses range from the highest to the lowest of quality.

We’ll run through every player home in Starfield so you can pick out your perfect property. You can see more of what’s on offer with our Starfield walkthrough to help you pick out every goodie in the galaxy.

Nesoi Dream Home

Starfield Nesoi Dream Home
  • Price: 125,000 credits
  • Requirements: The “Dream Home” character trait

By far one of the nicest homes in the game is only available if you select the “Dream Home” trait – one of the best traits in Starfield – in the character creation menu. The catch is that, while you can access it straight away, it’s not free. You’ve bought it using a 125,000 mortgage from GalBank, and until you pay it back, you will need to pay a weekly rent of 500 credits whenever you want to enter the property.

Still, it’s well worth doing, as you’ll get a huge open-plan space on the bottom floor and a few big upstairs rooms to really make the place feel like home.

New Atlantis Parents’ Home

Starfield Parents' Home
  • Price: FREE!
  • Requirements: The “Kid Stuff” character trait

If you made the decision to have parents in the character trait menu, then you’ll get access to their quite nice apartment in New Atlantis’ Pioneer Tower. Unfortunately, as it’s technically not your home, you’ll only be able to customize your bedroom, which isn’t the biggest, but it’s comforting to have your folks around…most of the time.

Neon Sleepcrate

Starfield Neon Sleepcrate
  • Price: 6,500 credits
  • Requirements: None

This home is the definition of “bare minimum”. It is dirt cheap, but you’ll barely even have room inside for a single storage chest. You get a bed, a sink, and a small bit of storage space, but that’s it. Even the woman who sells it to you in Ebbside says that you can do better.

New Atlantis Well Apartment

Starfield The Well Apartment
  • Price: 30,000 credits
  • Requirements: Follow the UC Vanguard questline to become a UC citizen

The Well isn’t the nicest place to live in New Atlantis, but you could certainly do worse. You can buy this from Zora in New Atlantis, whose shop is near the MAST HQ. You’ll only get two fairly small rooms in this home, so there’s not much room to express yourself, but it’s plenty of space if you’re just using it for storage. Then again, while you’re down here, you can help make things better by doing things like the Alternating Currents Starfield quest.

Akila City Stretch Home

Starfield Skile City Stretch home
  • Price: 45,000 credits
  • Requirements: None

Akila City seems like a fairly nice place to live, and this house has a lot of creative potential. It’s technically just one room, but the dividers give it an interesting layout, and you’ve got a decent chunk of space to work with for not too high a price. You can buy it from Ngodup, who hangs out around the back of The Rock in Akila City.

Akila City Core Manor

Starfield Akila City Core Manor
  • Price: 78,000 credits
  • Requirements: None

This is the best Akila City house on offer. The main area is one big room with loads of space, but you also get a bathroom and a decent-sized bedroom to spice the place up as well, plus, it’s right next to The Rock, making it an easy commute if you’re a Freestar Ranger. You can also buy this house from Ngodup.

Neon Sky Suite

Starfield Neon Sky Suite
  • Price: 235,000 credits
  • Requirements: None

You might think that the sky-high price of this thing would make it a luxurious penthouse, but you’d be very wrong as, in terms of value-for-money, this is worse than the Sleepcrate. You can buy it from the bartender in the Astral Lounge on Neon and prepare for disappointment. This is a single-room apartment that is overall smaller than the one in The Well. There’s also a balcony overlooking Neon, but there’s not much worth looking at.

New Atlantis Mercury Tower Penthouse

Starfield New Atlantis Penthouse
  • Price: FREE!
  • Requirements: Complete the UC Vanguard questline and become a Class One Citizen

This is the best player home in Starfield, and it’s not even close. This penthouse has loads of space both in the main living area and in the various secondary rooms, all of which are sizable and full of potential. Plus, you get not just one but two balconies. On one side you get to look out at Jemison’s natural beauty, and on the other, you can see almost all of New Atlantis.

Seek out the UC Vanguard questline as early as you can to set yourself up with a sweet life. It’s a fitting reward for completing A Legacy Forged in Starfield.
