After picking up B-12 as your loyal robot companion in Stray, you’ll need to find a set of four notebooks to continue through the story. The purpose of this exercise is to cheer up Momo. Being the last Outsider in The Slums, he’s depressed that he let his old friends move on by themselves, so hopefully collecting all the notebooks with their memories is going to help.

Follow our guide to find all Stray notebook locations quickly and without complications and you’ll be able to move on to the next story beat in no time.

Momo’s notebook

Momo’s own notebook can be obtained from none other than Momo himself – just gift him with the Picture of Outside and you’ll get access to it. You can find Momo in the tallest apartment building in The Slums, the one with a bright neon orange sign on top of it.

Clementine’s notebook

Your next goal is the blue building opposite Momo's apartment. Head over the rooftops and jump right in through the window. Walk through the broken door afterwards and keep your eyes open for a computer and some screens. You’ll find Clementine’s notebook on top of the monitors that aren’t running.

Doc’s notebook

On the right side of Momo’s apartment is a building full of books – it’s flooded with entire piles of them. In the midst of that chaos you’ll find a safe tucked into one of the bookshelves. You’ll need to jump on and off some book piles first to bring them down, revealing the safe.

However, a key is required to get it open, so head to the backroom and grab it. Open up the safe and you’ll find Doc’s notebook inside.

Zbaltazar’s notebook

Your final destination is Zbaltazar’s apartment, which is located on the left side after exiting Momo’s place. It’s marked by red paper lanterns hanging on the outside walls. Climb up to the roof, pull the plug on the nearby power source, and enter through the ventilation shaft that is now accessible due to the stopped spinning fan.

It’s a mess inside and you’re about to add to it: Repeat your maneuver from Doc’s library by jumping on and off the pile of boxes in the apartment to knock them over. Zbaltazar’s notebook should fall out of one of the boxes, though you may have to kick and shake it a little.

Return to Momo once you’ve collected all the notebooks and show them to him – that’ll give him the energy to assist you in your journey.
