Midtown is where a large chunk of Stray’s story goes down, and eventually, you’ll need to sneak into the factory. Blazer is happy to get you inside, but he can’t do it unless he’s disguised as a worker – to that he needs a hardhat and high-vis jacket.

You can get both of those things for him, but they each require solving a puzzle, and the solutions aren’t always obvious. We’ll show you where to find the worker hat and jacket so you can get inside and progress Stray’s story.

Worker hat location – Stray

There’s a hat shop in Midtown that has the hat you need, but the owner isn’t letting anyone in due to it being restocked. The person whose job it is stands just outside but refuses to do the work until his late partner shows up to help. Go to the bar and you’ll spot the worker passed out on a table, climb up the shelves above him and knock something down onto his head to wake him up.

He’ll now finally go over to the hat shop to work, so you just have to hop in one of the boxes and wait for him to carry you inside.

Worker jacket location – Stray

There’s also a clothing shop in Midtown where you can get the jacket, but of course, there are complications, as you’ll need to steal it by creating a distraction. If you haven’t already, you need to get the cassette tape from Simon and his hip-hop crew. Stick it in the boombox in the back room of the clothing store. This will distract the owner long enough for you to grab the jacket.

Now you can take both items to Blazer can continue the story.
