The Total War series of strategy games is currently having a sale on Steam with games being discounted by up to 75% of their original price. With Total War: Pharaoh releasing soon and a new engine seemingly in development at Creative Assembly to power future projects, there is much to look forward to from the franchise.
In the meantime, this sale is a fantastic opportunity to fill your library with missing DLC or grab some classic Total War games you’ve never had the chance to play. With quite a few historical eras being served, though, it’s always a little confusing to dive into the offers. Total War: Napoleon – Definitive Edition

Total War: Rome 2 – Emperor Edition

Fall of the Samurai: A Total War Saga

Want to mow down waves of samurai with your modern weaponry or overcome the odds through tactical ingenuity? Then Fall of the Samurai is for you. It takes Total War: Shogun 2’s fantastic fundamentals and adds some of that Napoleonic goodness, resulting in what is considered by many as the best historical Total War game.
Total War: Medieval 2 – Definitive Edition

- For those who love knights in shining armor, mowing down knights in shining armor with longbows, and are ready to depose the Pope.
- Find it on Steam.
A classic connected to many people’s childhood memories, Medieval 2 may be somewhat dated from today’s perspective, but it still has lots to offer: Knights charging into infantry and throwing models around, elephants with bombards mounted on them trampling over the battlefield, and a flood of Mongols overwhelming the map from the East. You also need the title to play the best Lord of the Rings game ever made, which is a mod for this one.
Total War: Three Kingdoms – Collection

- For those who love Dynasty Warriors, want to engage with diplomacy and intrigue, and would rather burn the world down than be betrayed by it.

Follow the narrative of the Three Kingdoms novel or change the course of history in this title featuring all the characters you know and love – or hate. Cao Cao, Dong Zhou, Lü Bu, Liu Bei, Zhuge Liang, and all the others are playable in this epic campaign that brought many welcome improvements to the series in regards to diplomacy and character interactions.
Total War: Warhammer 3
