Should you choose Witch or Wizard in Hogwarts Legacy – what changes?
Hogwarts Legacy has a surprisingly robust character creator. Though you won’t be contorting facial features to create some kind of pure horror like in Soulcalibur VI or Dark Souls, you can make a surprisingly decent representation yourself as a young, beardless adult. Bald, but beardless. Or you can creature someone totally unique, why not?
You might be wondering what kind of options will get closed off to you depending on your choice in Hogwarts Legacy, but we’ll tell you now: not much changes based on your decisions. Just read through our breakdown of the Hogwarts Legacy character creator below to find out if you should be a witch or a wizard.

Witch or Wizard? – Hogwarts Legacy
In Hogwarts Legacy you’re allowed to choose your body type, voice type, voice pitch, and whether you stay in the witch or wizard dorms all independently of one another, and most characters in the game will refer to the player with They/Them pronouns.
This allows for a decent amount of granular control over how your character looks and sounds in the game, though your decision over whether you stay in the witch or wizard dorms doesn’t actually make much of a difference at all.
Your dorm will be filled with either witches or wizards, but there’s no material difference over the course of the game. You shouldn’t expect to start any romantic relationships in this game, and characters will treat you the same regardless of your character creation decisions.
So feel free to choose the witch or wizard you like best, and decide for yourself what fits you.
