There are lots of rumors around the plans Microsoft has for PC, Xbox Series X|S and other platforms in 2024, but we won’t have to wait long for some actual insight on the matter as the next edition of the Xbox Developer Direct showcase has been announced for this month. Instead of relying on rumors and hearsay, we’ll get to see first-hand what Microsoft’s studios have been cooking and what awaits players this year.

From the announcement artwork we’re already able to tell that Oxide Games’ turn-based strategy game Ara: History Untold will appear during the show, while it looks like we’re finally getting some news around MachineGames’ Indiana Jones title, which is very exciting. Ninja Theory will bring more information on the continuation of Senua’s Saga with Hellblade 2 and the RPG experts at Obsidian Entertainment will present us with details on Avowed.

Xbox Developer Direct in January 2024: start times

Microsoft revealed that the Xbox Developer Direct will take place on January 18, 2024, at 12pm PT / 3pm ET. Here’s what this means for your timezone:

We know that the showcase is only going to take up to an hour at maximum, because Bethesda has scheduled a The Elder Scrolls Online showcase exactly one hour after the Xbox Developer Direct.

You’ll be able to follow the showcase live on YouTube as well as Twitch. We’ll embed the stream from YouTube right here for you once it’s available. This will serve as a VOD as well, so you can catch up afterwards in case you’re unable to watch the broadcast live.
