How to start Messages from an Ancient Era – Zelda TOTK

The first time you come across a Hyrulean Ancient Tablet will likely be in Lookout Landing – one has fallen from the sky straight into the center of town, and one plucky researcher seems obsessed with it. She will point you in the direction of Wortsworth, who is currently in Kakariko Village researching the Ring Ruins there.

Wortsworth is usually with Paya researching the Ring Ruins, although they’re not allowed to go see for themselves by Zelda’s decree. Wortsworth will ask you the photograph Hyrulean Ancient Tablets, and so begins the Messages from an Ancient Era quest.

You don’t actually need to photograph this one, but it’s good to recognize where it all started, eh?

This first stone tablet can be found Northwest of Great Hyrule Forest in the sky.

East Hebra Sky Archipelago

Another is West of the floating maze in the East Hebra skies.

West Hebra Sky Archipelago

You can find this directly West of the Rising Island Chain where the Wind Temple can be found.

North Gerudo Sky Archipelago

This is just South of the giant circular island in the North Gerudo Sky.

East Gerudo Sky Archipelago

This is again near a maze, this time the one found in the East corner of the skies above Gerudo Desert. If you start from this maze you can find it by heading West.

South Hyrule Sky Archipelago

This one sits between East Gerudo Sky and South Hyrule Sky, directly South of the Shrine in South Hyrule Sky Archipelago.

West Necluda Sky Archipelago

This one can be found either directly South of Great Sky Island, or West from the Shrine in West Necluda Sky.

Necluda Sky Archipelago

This one sits squarely between the West Necluda, Necluda, South Necluda Sky Archipelago, as well as Dragonhead Island. There are Shrines directly to the Northwest and East of the tablet, and they’re both decent places to attempt flight.

Necluda Sky Archipelago 2

This one is off to the East of the Necluda Sky Archipelago, so only one Shrine is anywhere close by.

Lanayru Sky Archipelago

Just Southwest of the Water Temple you can find another tablet. There’s also a Shrine a straight shot to the North, which might be the easiest place to take off from.

South Eldin Sky Archipelago

This isn’t too far Southeast of the Shrine in South Eldin Sky Archipelago.

Sokkala Sky Archipelago

I have no idea why the name of this archipelago is like that, but okay. This one is just above the archipelago itself.
