With Breath of the Wild being the first game to offer fully-voiced cutscenes, there was a lot of anticipation surrounding the steps forward in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Now the game has been released, a few roles from the cast have been officially confirmed.

Tears of the Kingdom is a bit more story-heavy than its predecessor, so there’s a strong roster of veteran voice actors behind the characters. We’ll break down every officially confirmed actor in the Tears of the Kingdom cast.

Kengo Takanashi is Link

Link in Tears of the Kingdom.

Link is still mostly silent in this game, but his iconic grunts and screams need to be voiced by someone, and Kengo Takanashi is that person. He voiced Link in Breath of the Wild and has had a few other video game roles since, including Final Fantasy 14 and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.

Patricia Summersett is Zelda

Reprising her role from Breath of the Wild, Patricia Summersett has a variety of video game and TV roles under her belt, including Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and Horizon Forbidden West.

Matthew Mercer is Ganondorf

While you will most likely recognize Mercer from D&D series, Critical Role, he has been lending his voice to video games and cartoons for well over a decade. He is Cole Cassidy in Overwatch, Yusuke in Persona 5, and the human male player voice in Destiny 2.

Rob Riddel is Tarin

Rob Riddel is an experience TV actor, having appeared in the classic 1984 Dukes of Hazzard series, but Tears of the Kingdom is his first video game role.

Jamie Mortellaro is Sidon

Zelda Sidon

Jamie Mortellaro mainly works as a voice director, doing the job in both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, as well as God of War Ragnarok and Octopath Traveler 2. However, he also ended up in the Zelda games as the Zora Prince Sidon.
