How to cure the Great Deku Tree – Zelda TOTK
Once you get inside the Lost Woods – which you can do with our Lost Woods guide – you will find silent Koroks and the Great Deku Tree can do nothing but complain about stomach pains.
Move underneath the tree roots that hold the platform where you talk to the Great Deku Tree and look for a passage leading inside of the tree. You will find the Great Deku Tree Chasm, which leads to a small self-contained arena in the Depths.
There’s a tough opponent down here, so make sure to prepare with Sunny meals and strong weapons.
How to beat Gloom Hands boss fight – Zelda TOTK
We mentioned Sunny meals for a reason: down here you’ll be fighting Gloom Hands, which will take away your hearts, making them unrecoverable, until you reach sunlight once again. This means you really need to go in with either a lot of hearts, of several Sunny meals.
Sunny meals can be made with Sundelions and other health items. Two Sundelions, meat, and Rock Salt will make great Sunny Salt-Grilled Meat. Sunny food will be essential if you don’t have many hearts to spare.
The Gloom Hands enemy is tough to take down, but if you aim arrows at the eyes in its palms and hit hard with your array of strong weapons, you will take it down. Don’t worry too much about standing in Gloom, just eat food to recover from it.
Phantom Ganon boss fight – Zelda TOTK
The fight isn’t over yet. Once the Gloom Hands enemy is down, a new health bar will appear with the name Scourge of the Deku Tree: Phantom Ganon.
Phantom Ganon is a very cool fight, but you shouldn’t fear too much. Simply equip your strongest armor and take out your strongest weapons, and you can take down Phantom Ganon without too much trouble. Again, make sure you have plenty of food stocked up.
Once the fight is done, head back up to the Lost Woods to speak with the Great Deku Tree, where you’ll be given a hint to find the Master Sword.
