Gerudo Town was brilliant in Breath of the Wild, but in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, things have gone very wrong. The entire desert is mired in the Sand Shroud, and it is presenting anyone from visiting Gerudo Town. They only usually let women in anyway, but Link the twink is an exception.

In this guide we’re breaking down how to get to Gerudo Town in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Head to Kara Kara Bazaar first – Zelda TOTK

Your first port of call should be Kara Kara Bazaar. This is found on the road towards Gerudo Town, and you should come here ASAP, as the shopkeeper is selling a Desert Voe Headband. This will increase your heat resistance slightly, making it far easier to actually navigate the desert without dying.

With the Desert Voe Headband equipped, we can now make a run for Gerudo Town.

Use Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower – Zelda TOTK

The Sand Shroud is filled with hostile enemies, not to mention the sheer lack of visibility out there. It can feel incredibly difficult to get through, but all you really need to do is head directly for Gerudo Town. Which is easiest from the air. Yep, we’re taking Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower – which you can find with our Skyview Tower locations guide.

From the sky you will be able to see exactly where Gerudo Town is, and while you might end up landing in the midst of the Sand Shroud, as long as you know Gerudo Town is directly in front of you, then you won’t get lost.

Once you make it to Gerudo Town, you’ll discover that things have gone bad here because of the Sand Shroud, and most of the population has gone into the underground shelter. For everything you need to know about that, read our guide on how to get into the Gerudo Shelter.

Next you'll have to get into the Gerudo Shelter, before moving on to the Red Pillars puzzle and the Lightning Temple.
