First, use the spinning platform to get over the gap. You won’t need this for the puzzle, it’s just showing you how the Zonai stakes work.
Approach the edge of the platform and you’ll see a button and a pillar.
Stand on the button and you’ll reveal a target, which you need to hit with a rolling ball.
Attach a Zonai stake to the mechanism on the lower platform.
Then use Ultrahand to attach a pole.
Now you must strike the pillar to swing your DIY bat so that the ball hits the target. You can use the grey stone sections to time it. Try to swing when the ball is approaching the final patch of stone.
Once you hit it, the gate will open and you can leave, but a second target will reveal itself to unlock the chest.
Before you attempt this, go down onto the lower platform and remove the Zonai stake from behind the hanging wall, this will stop the ball from getting stuck on it.
To hit this one, you must swing very late, as the ball has almost gone past your bat, but it’s not too tricky a shot.
