Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: Orochium Shrine guide
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is bursting with Shrines – even more than the 120 that the original had. So it should surprise you that some of them are particularly tricky. Just one of those Shrines you’ll find close to the Snowfield Stable, titled Orochium Shrine – Courage to Fall.
The name is cryptic and doesn’t help much, as if you’re first strategy is to try falling, it simply won’t work. In this guide we’re breaking down everything you need to know to clear the Orochium Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Orochium Shrine: Courage to Fall walkthrough – Zelda TOTK
As you enter this Shrine you’ll be faced with two large doors. Open them up, look at the laser field, and leave them open. Sometimes it’s better to walk away.
Go around to the left side, defeat the enemy, and look up for a pillar that you can use Ascend on.
Climb the ladder and then sneak through the small gap. Jump down from here, behind the laser field, and defeat the two enemies below.
In the next area you’ll see a laser field that’s easier to cross. Next you’ll see a small puzzle orb locked behind a door. You’ll need a Small Key.
This is where you need the Courage to Fall. At the back of this room you’ll be able to see there’s something underneath. Go back to the laser field you crossed and this time, fall.
There’s a new path down here. Cross the laser field and use Ascend at the end to find a chest with a Small Key inside. Use Ascend to get back up again.
Now you can open the room with the small puzzle orb. Take it upstairs using the elevators at the back of the room, and place it into the hole upstairs. This’ll open up a Wing Zonai Device with Fans attached.
Attach the small puzzle orb to the Wing and activate it on the rail, flying back to the start with the puzzle orb.
Place it in the hole here to open up the door, completing the shrine.
