Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: Serenade to Cotera quest guide

How to wake the final Great Fairy and max-out your armor upgrades in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

If you’ve come this far that means you only have one Great Fairy left to unlock in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and with this guide you can do just that. The final Great Fairy you need is named Cotera, and she resides in her bulb near Dueling Peaks Stable. Only, her bulb is totally water-locked, meaning the Stable Trotters can’t simply ride in on their wagon. Or can they?

In this guide we’re getting the full band of Stable Trotters across the river to visit Great Fairy Cotera – make sure you’ve completed the Honey, Bee Mine quest before undertaking this task so Beetz the drum player is back with the Stable Trotters.

Serenade to Cotera, waking the Dueling Peaks Stable Great Fairy – Zelda TOTK

So you’ll need to make your way over to Dueling Peaks Stable – with our all Stable locations guide, of course – and then chat with the full troupe of Stable Trotters, or the Stable Gallopers, as they now call themselves. Mastro will once again be leading the charge, and with you there, he’ll run at the river with the rest of the musicians.

Meet them at the river, and it’s now time to make their wagon Breezer aquatic. Or, semi-aquatic, at least. Use the Hyrule Restoration Materials nearby and place Breezer on top of one of the large wooden panels. 

There are other materials nearby too, including Fans, a Sail, and even a Steering Stick.

With everything in place, tell Mastro to hop in and then place the whole thing in the water – hopefully you’ve done enough to make it just about float. 

As long as the Stable Trotters don’t get wet, it should be fine.

Once you arrive at Great Fairy Cotera you’ll be able to witness the final Stable Trotters performance for a Great Fairy, and also upgrade your armor to the max level. At long last!
