How to get the Stable Trotters to the Great Fairy Kaysa in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Another step on the path to getting the most powerful armor in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is completing the Serenade to Kaysa quest. Kaysa is the Great Fairy that sleeps near the Outskirt Stable, and she’ll only move once she hears the sound of a flute playing.

If you’ve already brought together the Stable Trotters and their estranged flutist Pyper by completing The Flute Player’s Plan quest, then you can meet them all at Outskirt Stable and help them make it to Kaysa – only the road has collapsed, and you’ll need to help them with an alternate form of transportation.

Serenade to Kaysa, waking the Outskirt Stable Great Fairy – Zelda TOTK

Chat to Mastro near the Outskirt Stable – check out our all Stable locations guide to find that – and he’ll once again complain about his broken down wagon. At least this time there’s a better reason for it – the wagon has lost its wheels entirely, and the road has collapsed too, making traversal tough.

Luckily there are some Zonai devices nearby, and even a giant stone slab with three wheels already attached. You can see where this is going. There’s even a Steering Stick here, too!

Put the wheels on the slab and then attach the wagon to the top. With everything in place, talk to Mastro to have the Stable Trotters jump inside.

Drive down the road a bit before trying to get up the hill. You might encounter enemies, but you can ignore them. You should succeed the quest by going around the rear of the hill to ascend, and as long as your vehicle doesn’t tip over, you won’t fail.

Once the wagon reaches the Great Fairy, the Stable Trotters will bring Kaysa out of her slumber so she can upgrade your armor to the third level – nifty.
