Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: Susuyai Shrine guide
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has well over 100 shrines, and while some are fairly straightforward, others can be quite difficult to get through. If you want those precious Lights of Blessing, and thus the ability to increase your HP and stamina wheels, you’ll want to complete as many shrines as possible.
One such shrine is the Susuyai Shrine, which is located to the south-west of Lookout Landing, the first surface location you’re likely to visit. Susuyai isn’t a particularly difficult shrine to complete, but it can be tricky if you’re not entirely familiar with some of the mechanics, such as Ultrahand and Zonai devices. This guide will take you through everything you need to do to clear Susuyai Shrine.

Susuyai Shrine solution - Zelda TOTK
The first thing you’ll see upon entering the Susuyai Shrine is a series of carts moving back and forth.
One of these carts has a chest stuck to it, so if you want the goodies inside you’ll need to stop the cart and the wheels powering it, which this shrine seems to be teaching you how to do.
To stop the cart, simply hit anywhere on the cart with either your weapon or your bow, depending on how you want to go about it. You don’t need to hit the wheels specifically — any part of the object and anything attached to it counts.
After you’ve collected your treasure, you can move forward, where you’ll see a rotating column that you can’t run past.
You’ll need to build a cart of your own by using the half-built cart next to the column, reattaching the wheels, which could get a bit wonky, but as long as the wheels touch the ground, you should be fine.
Or, if you’re feeling particularly lazy, you can simply pick up the pre-built treasure cart you previously stopped and move it over to the rotating column. Either way, hop on the cart and hit it to ride across the column.
Next, detach one of the wheels from the cart you just used, and use Ultrahand to stick it to the cross-shaped bars off to the right. Make sure the wheel part of the Zonai device is touching the ground, then hit it to make the cross spin, opening the gate.
In the next room, you’ll need to pick up the Zonai wheels and attach them to the sides or the top of the stony platform, making sure the rubbery wheel part of the device is touching the rails.
Hop onto the platform, give it a quick hit with your weapon, and you should be able to ride it across to the end.
