The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is filled with dozens upon dozens of challenging Shrines, and one particularly puzzling Shrine that you’ll encounter early on is Tukarok Shrine: Forward Force.

This Shrine is probably your first introduction to the Big Wheel item, and it can be used in a variety of ways that, admittedly, can feel weird and complex. You have to think outside of the box to get everything in this Shrine working.

Tukarok Shrine: Forward Force walkthrough – Zelda TOTK

As you enter, run straight ahead and jump down the ladder here. There’s a pre-built vehicle waiting for you, along with a large puzzle orb you’ll need to carry to the end. 

Put the puzzle orb on the vehicle and activate it to get over the lava. Once you arrive on the other side, pick the orb up and go up the stairs.

This is weird and complex at first glance. Attach the Big Wheel – with the arrow on the side pointing towards the upper floor – on the block attached to the rail near the middle.

Next, attach the stone slab in the area to the side of the Big Wheel so it acts as a paddle. Finally, attach the orb to the stone block. Once you activate the Big Wheel, it should push along the track up to the top. 

Then you can climb the ladder and take the puzzle orb into the next room.

This room has Big Wheel devices attached to rafts, along with some wooden panels in the room. Attach the paddles to the sides of the Big Wheels on both sides, similar to the last room. 

This will turn the rafts into paddle boats able to push you to the other side. Put the large orb on the raft and ride it across.

Press the switch on the other side and you’ll find yourself at the entrance. Put the puzzle orb in the hole to finish Tukarok Shrine.
