Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: Restoring the Zora Armor quest guide
Contents
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a massive game, and when you start out, you might find it hard to survive. That’s partially down to a lack of hearts, but you will also need decent armor in order to endure strong attacks. If it’s armor you need, then there are few better than the Zora Armor.
The Zora Armor allows Link to swim upstream through waterfalls like a superpowered salmon, and that makes it very powerful – not to mention essential for clearing through the Water Temple that’s up ahead.
In this guide we’re breaking down every step you need to know in order to clear the Restoring the Zora Armor quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Just read down below for everything you need to know. This quest follows on from our The Sludge-Covered Statue guide.

How to start the Restoring the Zora Armor quest – Zelda TOTK
After you’ve finished The Sludge-Covered Statue quest and explored Zora’s Domain a bit, you’ll find Yona behind the staircase leading up to the throne room. She’ll tell you of the Zora Armor from Breath of the Wild that you can get back, though it needs to be repaired after your time away.

Talk to Dento the Blacksmith near the shop in Zora’s Domain and he’ll tell you that you’ll need the scales of the Ancient Arowana in order to repair the Zora Armor. It’s possible that you’ll already have Ancient Arowana in your inventory, because you can pick them up from the Great Sky Island, along with a few other places. If you missed them though (or ate them on the way here), there’s luckily a place you can find them nearby.
Ancient Arowana location – Zelda TOTK
The closest place you can find a guaranteed Ancient Arowana to Zora’s Domain is back up the mountain where you can find Prince Sidon.
From Mipha Court, head all the way up to Shatterback Point, where you’ll find a nice water feature. Drop into the water here and you should find a few Ancient Arowana hiding away. Easy.
Return the Ancient Arowana to Yona, and she will immediately give back the Zora Armor, completing this quest, and getting you closer to Tears of the Kingdom’s Water Temple.
