Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon looks like a very different Bayonetta game

So soon after the release of Bayonetta 3, none of us expected to get a new game so soon, but after fans found the Storybook in the main game, it seemed new content would be inevitable. Just not this soon.

Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon will act as a brand new entry in the series, and takes a totally different perspective. Following a young Cereza – before she was known as Bayonetta – you can summon your demon cat, Cheshire, to fight in battle as you explore new stages.

The game boasts an entirely new art style and camera perspective, which makes the game seem far less action-heavy than we’re used to, with slower-paced exploration. Though, combat is definitely still on the cards, as we watch Cheshire tear through foes that are attached to the ground with thorns.

It already looks like an exciting prospect, and we don’t have to wait too long to play it, though this isn’t exactly what Bayonetta fans have been waiting for. Nobody asked for this, but that certainly doesn’t mean it’ll be bad.

Luckily we’ll be able to find out much more about Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon when it releases on March 17, 2023. Not long to wait, at least.
