Blizzard Entertainment has released a few statistics from the recent Diablo 4 open beta test, revealing that players spent 61,560,437 hours in Sanctuary while the servers were up. In that time, they slaughtered 29,252,746,339 monsters and died 46,924,644 times.

10,163,397 of those kills came from Diablo 4’s first world boss, Ashava. In return, players only killed Ashava 107,426 times, making for an impressive K/D ratio of 436.8 to 1 for the creature. One player even managed to down the monster by himself, though another user came in at the last minute to deny him the glory of the solo kill. That, honestly, is a bit sad and shows the bad side of Diablo 4’s MMO aspects. You can find a recording of those solo attempts on YouTube.

Another big scorer was Diablo 4’s Butcher, who randomly ambushed players in dungeons and did what he does best: make fresh meat. The series veteran caused 1,727,973 player deaths while dying 576,662 times. That’s a K/D ratio of 2.9 to 1 for the Butcher.

2.6 million players reached level 20 on at least one character during the open beta, securing exclusive cosmetics for themselves, which will be available in the release version of the game.

When it comes to classes, Sorcerer and Necromancer were the most played roles over the duration of the test – not all too surprising, given the popularity of those character types in the series’ previous entries.

It’s safe to say that Diablo 4’s launch could be a big one if interest in the release version is comparable to the open beta test.

Blizzard’s action role-playing game will launch on June 6, 2023, on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
