Frontier Developments has revealed the F1 Manager 2023 release date to be July 31, 2023, for the digital launch on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S with a physical release for the consoles to follow at a later date.

Pre-orders for the racing management game are available now and award early birds with three exclusive scenarios they can play through. Those opting for the Deluxe Edition can expect to get a further twelve scenarios enabling them to jump into the action under unique circumstances. An early access period of four days is included in the costlier version as well.

Alongside the release date announcement, the British development studio has revealed two new features coming to the second iteration of the officially licensed series.

The first is visor cam, a fairly recent innovation in the broadcasting of Formula 1 that uses ultra light cameras – they weigh just a couple of grams – embedded into the drivers’ helmets, which give viewers a very impressive perspective of the action. F1 Manager 2023 has implemented the same viewing mode, adding another layer of immersion to the title – that was already the biggest strength of the original.

The second feature is race replay, a very intriguing challenge mode based on actual happenings in the current Formula 1 season. If you’re asking yourself what would have happened if Fernando Alonso had pitted for intermediates instead of slicks at the recent Monaco Grand Prix, then race replay could answer that question by giving you control shortly before the rain comes into play.

It not only connects the game to the actual racing, but also provides bite-sized F1 management action for those who may not have time for a complete race weekend at the moment and still want to get in some game time. Frontier plans on consistently supporting this feature, adding new scenarios based on what’s going on at each Grand Prix weekend.

A new trailer is showcasing the fresh features, so be sure to check them out:
