Upcoming Genshin Impact update 4.1 is set to be released on September 27, 2023, and will add a few brand-new weapons to the game alongside additional areas of Fontaine. Three of these will be obtainable through the Genshin Impact 4.1 banners, while one is going to be available through the Waterborne Poetry event happening in the coming version.

Here’s an overview of the weapons coming to Genshin Impact 4.1 during the version’s first half:

  • Tome of the Eternal Flow (5-Star catalyst)
  • The Dockhand’s Assistant (4-Star sword)
  • Portable Power Saw (4-Star claymore)
  • Ballad of the Boundless Blue (4-Star catalyst)

The Dockhand’s Assistant has the eyes of the community on it, as it’s going to be the first 4-Star sword that boosts HP as a primary stat – this makes the weapon perfect for several characters. Nilou, Kirara, and Layla could all make great use of The Dockhand’s Assistant. Rumor has it that the Hydro Archon, Furina, who may become playable in update 4.2 (since Archons are usually added in the X.2 updates), is a sword-wielder as well, and with most Fontaine characters being based around HP as a critical stat, this sword might be good for her as well. Aside from boosting the wearer’s HP, this sword also grants them additional Elemental Mastery for stronger reactions – again, a powerful boon for characters like Nilou.

The Dockhand’s Assistant, which looks a little like a certain weapon from Attack on Titan, will be available on the weapon banner throughout the first half of update 4.1, where you’ll also find Portable Power Saw (totally a chainsword from Warhammer 40,000) and Tome of the Eternal Flow, which is going to be the signature weapon of Neuvillette. The Staff of Homa, the signature weapon of Hu Tao, will be on this banner as well, making for an overall incredibly good weapon banner – if you have the Primogems to spare, you could certainly do worse than pull from here.

Tome of the Eternal Flow primarily boosts Critical Damage and HP. As HP is lost or restored, it increases the wearer’s Charged Attack Damage and restores their energy. This will be a potent tool not only for Neuvillette, but also for characters like Yanfei, Klee, and Lisa.

Ballad of the Boundless Blue is going to be completely free-to-play friendly, as you’ll be able to obtain and refine it during this version’s Waterborne Poetry event. It boosts the wielder’s Energy Recharge as a primary stat, while its passive effect increases the damage of Normal and Charged Attacks – not a bad package.

Genshin Impact 4.1 arrives on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile on September 27, 2023.
