The Ghost of Tsushima PC port is finally happening
The long-rumored Ghost of Tsushima PC port is real, and Sony and Nixxes are bringing the stealth-action game to Steam soon. Nixxes previously handled a number of PlayStation’s PC ports, including Marvel’s Spider-Man, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, all of which launched with some technical issues that were later improved.
Ghost of Tsushima on PC launches on May 16, 2024, and as it’s the director’s cut version, it comes with all the bells and whistles released so far. That includes the Iki Island expansion that delves into protagonist Jin Sakai’s past, co-op multiplayer campaign missions in Legends mode, and the Kurosawa filter that lets you play the game through a grainy black-and-white lens.
Horizon Forbidden West is coming to PC in 2024 with Burning Shores DLC
“We’re proud to announce that our friends and partners over at Nixxes are bringing Ghost of Tsushima to PC,” Sucker Punch co-founder Brian Fleming said in a PlayStation Blog post. “This is a first for Sucker Punch – all our previous work is console-exclusive, so we are excited about all this and Nixxes was the right team to do this project.”
The PC port also includes unlocked framerates, ultrawide monitor support, Nividia DLSS 3 and AMD FSR 3 support, and a range of customization and controller options.
If you pre-order Ghost of Tsushima on Steam, you’ll get:
- New Game+ Horse
- Traveler’s Attire
- Broken Armor dyes from Baku’s shop
Ghost of Tsushima follows Jin Sakai and his bid to reclaim his homeland from invading Mongol forces in the late 1200s. It blends stealth and action and puts Jin’s inner struggle at the center of everything – whether he should redeem his homeland at any cost or honor the traditions of his ancestors and fight fair.
Ghost of Tsushima received mostly favorable reviews when it launched in 2020. Critics praised its cinematic flourishes, though noted its open-world structure felt a bit stale and unimaginative.
