Honkai: Star Rail Battle Pass maximum level may increase in update 1.5
If you’re playing lots of Honkai: Star Rail these days, you’ll likely max out the game’s Battle Pass way before the next update drops and refreshes the rewards. While that means you can take it easier for a while, it’s a bit of a shame your time won’t be rewarded as well. It looks like this will change with the upcoming update 1.5, scheduled to launch on November 15, 2023.
According to information from the ongoing beta tests of this next version, the Honkai: Star Rail Battle Pass will receive a new maximum level, increasing it from 50 to 70. Instead of a mixed bunch of rewards covering all aspects of progression, these 20 bonus levels seemingly grant 10,000 Credits and 20 Relic Remains each without changing things up.
This would still be a welcome addition in the eyes of players, since Relic Remains can be used to synthesize new Relic Sets for characters to use – or, if they turn out badly, to be recycled and fed to other Relics as XP material. It’s a net win in any case.
This information is based on the current tests, so it’s not totally guaranteed that this expansion is locked in for release as part of update 1.5, but big elements like this usually come through betas unchanged.
Like similar quality of life improvements made to Honkai: Star Rail very early in its life cycle, this change would be another thing that players of Genshin Impact have been requesting for a long time, but so far have failed to get the developers to add. As an example, this includes the boost in maximum Trailblaze Power that was implemented in update 1.3.
The Honkai: Star Rail Battle Pass offers substantial free rewards for every player, but there is a paid option for users who’d like to unlock additional rewards from it. This includes choosing from a variety of exclusive 4-Star Light Cones.

The upcoming Honkai: Star Rail characters for update 1.5 are Argenti, Huohuo, and Hanya. The current Honkai: Star Rail 1.4 version brought Pokémon battles into the game and contains the Jingliu, Topaz, and Guinaifen banners. A Seele rerun banner is coming as well, giving new users a chance to pull for this powerful damage dealer if they missed her right after the game’s launch.
