All Honkai: Star Rail players can look forward to receiving the free 5-Star character Dr. Ratio in the coming update 1.6. Giving out a copy of the damage dealer following the Path of The Hunt and dealing Imaginary Damage is HoYoverse’s way of thanking the community for its support during the game’s launch year as well as celebrating the title’s victories during award season.

Update 1.6 of Honkai: Star Rail will launch on December 27, 2023, for PC, PS5, iOS, and Android.

Dr. Ratio called into the show to announce the news himself / HoYoverse

Dr. Ratio is scheduled to join the Honkai: Star Rail characters during the second half of the version 1.6 banners, which is set to begin on January 17, 2024. You’ll have time from this point until the end of version 2.1 to claim the free Dr. Ratio that’ll appear in your in-game mail.

This surprising present is all the better as Dr. Ratio’s banner is looking rather weak and runs alongside Kafka, who is going to draw a lot of attention away from him. This way, players are able to add Dr. Ratio to their roster, potentially filling a role they could not fill before, and use their Stellar Jade on characters like Ruan Mei, Blade, or Kafka available in update 1.6 as well.

Honkai: Star Rail won trophies at The Game Awards 2023 as well as Apple’s and Google’s own award shows. Players already received 1,600 Stellar Jade for free to celebrate, which you need to claim in-game before they expire.

Version 1.6 is going to be another huge patch, expanding Herta Space Station and the Simulated Universe, adding a brand-new permanent game mode, delivering fresh events, and increasing the amount of Stellar Jade players can earn through challenge content.

Honkai: Star Rail 1.6 will add Pure Fiction game mode and Forgotten Hall improvements
