Honkai: Star Rail update 2.0 release date, story, relics, and events
Contents
If One Dreams At Midnight, the Honkai: Star Rail 2.0 update, is going to be a massive one and the most recent livestream by developer HoYoverse has revealed lots of interesting details about the patch. We’ll travel to a planet called Penacony, a former prison world that now functions as a massive luxury hotel renowned throughout the cosmos. The Reverie’s unique selling point is that you’ll be able to enter a world of dreams after falling asleep there, having your wildest desires fulfilled in a world you have full control over.
That sounds a little too good to be true, so we should fully expect some complications along the way – when did we ever get to fully enjoy a vacation in one of these games?
This new version will have a ton of fresh content for players in store, so here’s everything you need to know about the Honkai: Star Rail update 2.0 release date, story, and content.

Honkai: Star Rail update 2.0 story
Penacony’s main story arc will span the versions 2.0 to 2.2 and end with an epilogue in 2.3, so we are looking at half a year of Trailblaze Missions on this planet of illusions.
Things will start off with “Long Day’s Journey Into Night” in version 2.0, which has the Astral Express arrive on the planet at the invitation of The Family, Penacony’s ruling clique. This event, the so-called Charmony Festival, features characters from many worlds and backgrounds and will be a sort of melting pot for important figures from all over the universe.
In addition, update 2.0 will feature a new Companion Mission centered around Sparkle, and we can expect tons of Side Missions in Penacony itself.
Pictured above are some of the brand-new enemy types you can expect to face in the Dreamscape: Robo t-rex chefs, insectoid incarnations of death with insta-kill attacks, and... trashcans. We knew that was coming thanks to the meme-heavy Sweet Dreams Preview.
