Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 story trailer seemingly confirms Venom’s identity

Insomniac dropped a new Marvel's Spider-Man 2 trailer at San Diego Comic-Con

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 developer Insomniac Games kicked off their panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2023 with a brand-new story trailer for the game, giving us a first full look at Venom.

Less than a year has passed since Peter Parker and Miles Morales saved New York City, and they are both coping with personal life issues.

The two-minute trailer kicks off with Peter Parker reuniting with his best friend, Harry Osborn, who is back in New York, and it is hinted that his return affects the relationship between Peter and Miles Morales.

We get to see Kraven and his hunters causing trouble in New York, while a big theme of the trailer is how Peter Parker’s symbiote abilities change him, worrying his friends. We also learn more about each character's motivations and struggles.

At the very end of the trailer, we get to see Venom in his full glory, hear his voice in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for the first time, and get confirmation about Venom's identity in the game.

But enough teasing and spoilers, here's the full trailer you can watch for yourself below:

Previously, we got a first extended look at Marvel's Spider-Man 2 gameplay during Sony's May 2023 State of Play.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 releases on October 20, 2023, as a PS5 exclusive, and pre-orders have been open for quite some time now.
