Xbox and New York Liberty have teamed up for a second time to give the team’s home games at Barclays Center a very special feel thanks to a Starfield-inspired basketball court design.

The WNBA team’s upcoming matches against the Los Angeles Sparks on September 7, 2023, and the Washington Mystics on September 10, 2023, will be played out on a court featuring the red, orange, yellow, and blue stripes of Starfield’s logo marking the free throw lane. The end line sports the logo of Xbox as well as the New York Liberty name in white on top of a background evoking one of the star maps in the space RPG.

Parts of these branded elements feature a glow-in-the-dark effect to help them stand out more.

The broadcast cube hanging above the court will feature Xbox and Starfield branding as well.

“We’re proud to continue our award-winning partnership with Xbox showcasing another first-of-its-kind secondary court and the global launch of Starfield,” said Liberty CEO Keia Clarke. “Continuing our partnership with Xbox provides a unique opportunity to reach and engage with new fans, while also creating synergy between the WNBA and gaming communities.”

“Our award-winning partnership with the New York Liberty continues to flourish with creative activations that not only defy convention, but showcases both our imaginative and fun mindset,” commented Chris Munson, Head of Xbox Sports Partnerships. “We love pushing the boundaries of what is possible, and what better way to shoot for the stars than with the hotly-anticipated space exploration game, Starfield.”
