The first Pokémon Go event in April 2023 is called Spring into Spring and sets the stage for two Pokémon debuts: Cutiefly and its evolution, Ribombee, join the available creatures in the mobile game. You can evolve Cutiefly into Ribombee by feeding it 50 Cutiefly Candies.

Spring into Spring takes place from April 4, 2023, at 10am local time, to April 10 at 8pm local time. Aside from the two debutants the event features a variety of costumed Pokémon wearing cherry blossom crowns, so if collecting those variations is your thing, then this one for you.

For the rest of us without storage capacity to collect the 176th version of Pikachu (I haven’t counted them, but it sure feels like there’s a lot of them), Spring into Spring might turn into a spring cleaning event for our inventories.

In terms of bonuses, Spring into Spring features the following:

  • 2x Egg Hatch Candy.
  • 50% Egg Hatch Distance reduction if Eggs are placed into an Incubator during the event.
  • One hour duration for Lucky Eggs.
