The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Home update is apparently not happening soon after all. A day after The Pokemon Company announced Scarlet and Violet Home connectivity, the team said the date was actually a mistake.

“We put the cart before the Mudsdale!” The Pokemon Company said on Twitter. “Earlier we mistakenly posted that Pokémon Home version 3.0.0 would launch on May 23/24. However, the actual release date is yet to be announced. 3.0.0 is coming soon though, so please continue to follow our pages for more information!”

You’ll have to wait a bit longer to shuffle your Pokemon around – and get the free Hidden Ability Paldea starters. The faff is a bit surprising, considering how careful and precise The Pokemon Company usually is with its announcements.

It could be that the team ran into some unexpected technical issues that prompted the delay. While Scarlet and Violet are generally more stable than when the RPGs first launched, the occasional crash and other problems still pop up from time to time.

Most recently, Game Freak and The Pokemon Company had to cancel upcoming Tera Raid events after discovering problems with the event’s rewards. Completing it would often earn you nothing, and the game sometimes crashed after a raid as well.
