Just two weeks after some great Prime Day deals for PS5 several retailers around Europe as well as Sony itself have begun offering even better discounts on the gaming console, which are set to last until different dates in August 2023.

Here’s an overview of the current deals:

  • PlayStation Direct (UK): £404.99 (Standard Edition), runs until August 10, 2023
  • Amazon (UK): £399.00 (Standard Edition)
  • Argos (UK): £399.00 (Standard Edition)
  • Smyths (UK): £399.00 (Standard Edition)
  • PlayStation Direct (Germany): €474.99 (Standard Edition), runs until August 7, 2023
  • Amazon (Germany): €459.99 (Standard Edition)
  • Mindfactory (Germany): €458 (Standard Edition)
  • Media Markt (Germany): €459.99 (Standard Edition), runs until August 8, 2023
  • Saturn (Germany): €459.99 (Standard Edition), runs until August 8, 2023
  • Otto (Germany): €459.99 (Standard Edition)

Sony recently reported that over 40 million PS5 consoles have been sold since launch in 2020, so the days of component shortages and supply chain issues are well behind us.

Similar discounts in the US are expected to follow these European deals as it seems ever more likely that we’ll get news around a brand-new and beefed up PS5 version soon. Microsoft thinks that Sony will release the usual Pro and Slim versions of its console this year and the clearing of PS5 stocks at so many retailers might well be an indication of this assumption being correct.

If you’re not interested in waiting for these upgraded versions of the PS5 and are happy with the Standard Edition, then these are all fantastic deals, shaving off quite a bit of money from every purchase and making it far easier to justify buying into the ecosystem.
