Remnant 2 has been helping shooter fans through the summer break since its release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on July 25, 2023, and it seems like publisher Gearbox made the right call when it comes to this launch time: In a news post on the game’s website, Gearbox stated that the title had been sold over a million times in just four days across all platforms.

“To everyone who helped us achieve this amazing milestone, thank you for your unwavering support,” said David Adams of developer Gunfire Games in a statement. “This was a multi-year journey for us and we couldn’t be happier to see fans having such a great time with a game we put our heart and soul into.”

Gearbox’ Yoon Im stated that “Remnant 2 exceeded our expectations. As a commercial and critical hit, we’re incredibly proud of the Gunfire team and everyone here at Gearbox Publishing who brought this title to life.”

Our own Remnant 2 review praised the design of the game’s world and atmosphere, which grabs players and doesn’t let them slip away again. Another massive bonus of the title is the amount of secrets it harbors: Many of the shooter’s archetypes need to be unlocked first and unlike many other modern games, Remnant 2’s secrets are actually very hard to decipher.

Remnant 2 is rated as “Very Positive” on Steam with over 10,000 reviews. Pitting the survivors of humanity against merciless monsters, this Souls-like shooter features a mixture of ranged and melee combat and is primed for maximum replayability.
