With over five years since its launch, Sea of Thieves is still going strong, and the game is now getting a crossover event so fitting it’s surprising it took this long.

Coming July 20, 2023, Sea of Thieves: The Legend of Monkey Island launches, letting you sail to the iconic island and meet none other than Guybrush Threepwood himself. The man hasn’t lost any charm, playing with action figures of himself and securing his trousers with naught but his sword, and seems thrilled for the company.

We’re promised a brand new original story featuring the island and its characters – although we don’t know who’s writing it – and the few glimpses we got promise a wild adventure with plenty of secrets in store.

The update comes to Sea of Thieves on Xbox and PC on July 20, 2023.
